Nina Tedder

Nina Myrtle Tedder, age 86, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was born on April 2, 1929 in Johnson County, TN to the late Jesse Arnold and Emma Payne Arnold. In addition to her parents, Nina was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Janice Carolyn Tedder; sisters, Pearl Shelley, Lela Hammons, Levica Lewis, Opal Gambill, Lucille Walsh, Oshea Norris and Lorean Surrento and brothers, Denvil Arnold, Herman Arnold, Ray Arnold and Mervin Arnold. Nina was a former employee of Levi Strauss & Company and Mountain City Shoe Plant. She also was a Teacher's Aide and Cook for the Johnson County School System. She was a member of Hammons Chapel Christian Church. Nina is survived by her husband of 63 years, Delmer Tedder; sons: Donald Ray Tedder and wife Deborah of Bristol, TN and Orville Bruce Tedder and wife Joan of Fayetteville, NC; grandchildren: David Tedder, Sarah Newman and Jonathan Tedder; great granddaughter, Isabelle Newman; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12-2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. with Minister Joshua Giddings to officiate. Graveside Service and Interment will follow at the Dunn Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Walsh, Walter Walsh, Eugene Arnold, Willie Arnold, Sonny Gambill and Jake Lewis. Honorary pallbearers are J.C. Walsh, Joe Lewis, Russell Lewis, Willie Dean Hammons, Bill Gambill, Earl Gambill, Walter Burl Simcox, Earl Farmer, Marvin Shot' Arnold, Bobby Ray Arnold and Mike Arnold.
