James B. "Shag" Allen

James B. "Shag" Allen James B. "Shag" Allen, age 61, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born on June 23, 1954 to Faye Smith Allen and the late James Earl Allen. In addition to his father, Shag is preceded in death by step father, Oscar King and by brother-in-law Charles Self. Shag completed his schooling at Wake Technical College and worked as a millwright for several years. He enjoyed cars, motorcycles and collecting coins. Shag liked helping others. He gave his later years taking care of his mom. He was a member of First Christian Church. Shag is survived by his mother, Faye King; sister, Judy Self, one niece Regina Johnson, two nephews Brian Allen and Christopher Self and many friends.
