Donald 'Doc' Robinson

Donald Doc' Robinson, age 70, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at his residence. He was born on December 22, 1944 to the late Halton Carl Robinson and Elizabeth Buchanan Parks. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by a step-son, Travis Roark. Donald was a cowboy' at heart and loved anything to do with horses. He also loved baseball. His pride and joy was his grandkids, who he adored. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and a member of Mountain City Presbyterian Church. Donald is survived by his wife of 26 years, Mary Robinson; daughter, Lisa Robinson Johnson and husband Bryan of Kingsport, TN; step-son, Tracy Roark of Mountain City, TN; sister, Beverly Johnson and husband Leroy of Boone, NC; brothers: Fred Robinson and wife Wanda of Butler, TN, Steve Parks of Mountain City, TN, Douglas Robinson and wife Carol of Bristol, TN; grandchildren: Taylor Johnson and Heath Johnson of Kingsport, TN and Takoda Roark, Travis Roark and Jacob Roark of Mountain City, TN; great grandchild, Bailey Nelson of Kingsport, TN; and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, November 6, 2015 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel. Special music will be provided by Sherry Tester. The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 p.m. prior to the service. The family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude to Donald's caregiver, Kim Bowers and Nurses/Staff of Amedisys Hospice, especially, Sue Ann Hawkins, Gail Sutherland, Amy Grindstaff and Sandy Pleasant.
