Della Rhea Reece

 Della Rhea Phillippi Reece, age 85, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida and formerly of Mountain City, Tennessee, went to be with her dearly loved Savior on Tuesday, November 17, 2015.  She was born on December 14, 1929 in Mountain City to the late Roy and Mae Arnold Phillippi.  In addition to her parents, Della was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years of marriage, Dolphus Reece; sisters:  Lena Shelton, Hazel Williams, Edith Thompson, Francis McEwin, Irene Hurley, Mary Arnold and a brother, Clarence Phillippi.   Della was recently a member of Fort Walton Beach Church of Christ and was a resident of Emerald Coast Center of Fort Walton Beach, Florida   She was a former employee of Leco Manufacturing of Mountain City, TN; IRC of Boone, NC and was a Nurses Aid at Mountain City Hospital, helping deliver the first baby in the hospital, named Adam.  Her hobbies included sewing, quilting, crafting, gardening and flowers.  She also enjoyed crafting many personalized shoe boxes, or treasure boxes as she called them, for church friends, resident friends and family.  Dolphus and Della dearly loved baby sitting in their retirement years.   Della is survived by one beloved sister and brother-in-law, Peggy Ann Sisler and her husband Orville of Westminster, Maryland; son, Luther 'Bud' Reece and wife Marian of Titusville, Florida; daughter, Marjorie Louise Outlaw and husband Bruce of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; granddaughters:  Lisa Rothe and husband Matthew of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Amy Bright and husband Randy of Kathleen, Georgia; grandson, Jon Reece and wife Courtney of Cocoa Beach, Florida; great grandchildren:  Ryan and Hunter Andrews, Austin Rothe, Emillee, Hayden, Garrett and Lauren Bright; Mia and Jax Reece; special friends:  Ona Hulion, Sharon Wilson and Daniel, Lu Craft, Shannon and Melissa Johnson, Gene and Mary Beall, James Mueller, all of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; life-long friends from Mountain City (Della's hometown for 80 years) include Pat Long, Cloyce Phillippi Eller, Elizabeth Stout, Don and Alma Sala, Dot Canter, Lowell Fritts, Edna Smith, Dinah Jeffries, Paul and Ruth Sajdak, just to name a few.   Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel With Minister Buddy Morefield of Appalachian Church of Christ officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside Service and Interment will follow at the Phillippi Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be grandson, Jon Reece and Rhonda Reece, Reece Widner, Earl Greer, Lynn Courtner, Bill Reece, Steve Reece and Quint Reece.   The family of Della Rhea Reece has entrusted her services to Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S.
