Trula Dare Humphrey

Trula Dare Humphrey, age 92, of Creston, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2015.  She was born on January 23, 1923 to the late Aubrie and Clara Lewis Price.  In addition to her parents, Trula was preceded in death by her husband Roy Humphrey.   Trula was a wonderful, sweet, and caring lady.  She had never met a stranger and truly liked everyone that she met.  She enjoyed socializing with her family, friends and neighbors.  Trula also enjoyed reading, especially her Bible, which she read often.   She attended Three Forks Baptist Church.    She is survived by her sons:  Sanford Humphrey and wife Janice of Mountain City, TN; Harlos Humphrey and wife Toni of Oregon and Ray Humphrey and wife Joyce of Florida; brother, Vincent Price; special caregiver, Ruth Mahala and many special friends.   Funeral Service for Trula will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the Three Forks Baptist Church with Preacher Raymond Tester and Phillip Arnold officiating.  Special music will be provided by Caroll Roten and Family.  Graveside Service and Interment will follow at the Old Granville Humphrey Place following the funeral.  Pallbearers will be Wayne Jones, Blaine Jones, Jim Mahala, Edward Mahala, Jack Osborne and Kenny Singleton. Honorary pallbearers are Edwin Price, Dale Mahala and Jim Furches.  The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, at the church, prior to the funeral.   At other times, the family will receive friends at the home on Friday afternoon and evening on the 27th and Saturday morning on the 28th at 348 Cabbage Creek Road, Creston, NC 28615   Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mountaincityfh.com The family of Trula Dare Humphrey has entrusted her services to Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S.
