Kenneth James Snyder

 Kenneth James Snyder   Kenneth James Snyder, age 74, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2015 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born on November 23, 1941 to the late James Albert Snyder and Pearl Icenhour Snyder.  In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Ann Greer, who passed away on September 9, 2014.   Kenneth owned and operated his own sawmill for many years. He loved the mountains and was an avid outdoorsman. Ken had a long battle of 44 years with Diabetes.   He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Peggy Snyder; son, Jeffrey James Snyder of Mountain City, TN; brothers: Robert Snyder of Butler, TN, Charles Snyder of PA and Larry Snyder and Terry Snyder, both of Mountain City, TN; grandchildren:  Cody Greer and Natalie Greer Harrell and husband Adam; great grandchildren:  Grayson Harrell and Maddox Harrell and several nieces and nephews.   Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 20, 2015 at the Reece Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Greg Poe officiating. Pallbearers will be Cody Greer, Adam Harrell, Charles Snyder, Bob Snyder, Jeff Snyder and Rick Greer.  Honorary pallbearers are Russell Morefield, Bennie Campbell, Billy Jones, R.C. Woods and Frank Woods. Family, pallbearers and friends are asked to assemble at Mountain City Funeral Home on Sunday by 2:30 to go in procession to the cemetery.   At other times, the family will receive friends at the home, 356 B.
