Barbara Ione Leon

Barbara Ione Leon, age 77, of Mountain City, Tennessee and formerly of New York, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. She was born on July 6, 1938 to the late Lloyd and Marion Hubbard Brown.  In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded by her spouse, Charles Hoyt; sister, Patricia Bond, son-in-law, Peters Laskaris and nieces:  Anna Bond and Constance Bond.   Barbara retired as a LPN after 32 years of service. Her favorite hobbies were crocheting, knitting and sewing.  She was a member of Southside Freewill Baptist Church.   Barbara is survived by her daughters: Carol Laskaris and fiance, Steve Harper and Dawn Leon and partner Mary Taylor, all of PA; sister, Marcy Harding of NY; grandchildren:  Krystal Laskaris and Katie Lynn; very special friends, Richard and Phyllis Hammons, Congregation of Southside Freewill Baptist Church; many nieces and nephews and many more special friends.   It was Barbara's wishes to be cremated and that no formal services are held.
