On Saturday, January 2, 2016, Robert E. Wills, sixty-six year-old resident of Harbin Hill Road in Mountain City, left many devoted family members and friends to join his parents Lois and Bob Wills and his grandparents Hill and Venia Madron, along with his nephew Steve Perry, brother-in-law, Jeff Felty and a whole host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Those left behind to cherish his memory include: four sisters, Mary Sue Greever, Lois Anne McGuire (Charles), Vickie Reece, and Debbie Felty, all of whom live in Trade, TN, along with several nephews, nieces, and cousins. He also left many special friends at Johnson County Bank, Farmers State Bank, and the Johnson County Lions Club. Bobby was a 1968 graduate of JCHS and then continued his education at Bristol Business College. As an employee of Farmers State Bank and later Johnson County Bank from which he retired, he earned a reputation for being both knowledgeable and professional. He was a gentleman and a gentle man. He was a member of First Baptist Church, and he served as the maintenance overseer of the Reece Cemetery in Trade for many years. Although he was an avid gardener, his most ardent hobby was finding, restoring, collecting, and selling antiques, a passion that made his early retirement possible and fulfilling. He was a devoted son and brother, a dedication that began at the age of fifteen when he became the only male in a household with six women. His family will definitely miss his knowledge of all things Reece/Madron. Since he grew up in the same house as four generations before him and with his grandparents as mentors, his knowledge of family history was a treasure which he loved to share. The family will receive friends from 12-2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastors Harry Wills and Ricky Campbell officiating.
