Betty J. Crowder, age 84, of Butler, Tennessee, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at her home. She was born in Robeson County, North Carolina on May 21, 1931to the late Zeb Vance Butler and Nettie Mae Jackson Butler. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Wayne Lester Crowder, who passed away on September 15, 2013; one son, Robert Eugene Crowder; grandson, Jason Pierce; son-in-law, Gary Laws, and brothers: Robert Butler and Ben Butler. Betty loved her family very much and enjoyed taking care of them and many others. She was a caregiver to many people throughout the years. She also worked at Burlington Industries for many years. Betty was a faithful member of Dyson Grove Baptist Church. She is survived by daughters: Helen Osborne of Mountain City, TN, Kathy Pierce and husband Johnny Ray of Butler, TN, and Wanda Laws of Butler, TN; sons: Larry Crowder and wife Sandra of Raeford, NC and Johnny Crowder and wife Toni of Butler, TN: sister, Eula Kluttz, of Ocala, FL; brothers: Zeb Butler Jr. of Raeford, NC and Billy Butler of Holden Beach, NC; twelve grandchildren, fifteen greatgrandchildren, one great-greatgrandchild, several nieces, nephews and cousins and Bettys church family. The family will receive friends from 1-3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at the Dyson Grove Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Leonard Fletcher, Brother Dean Fletcher and Associate Pastor Camron Dula officiating. Special music will be provided by Fletcher family. Graveside Service and Interment will follow at Dyson Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brandon Roark, Ethan Roark, Jamie Osborne, Gary Wayne Laws Jr., Daniel Laws and Tommy Crowder. Honorary pallbearers are Chris Crowder, Brian Roark, Keith Crowder, Jesse Poteet, Matt Cress, Kenneth Taylor and Patrick Stout.
