F. Earl Dugger

Floyd "Earl" Dugger, age 82, of Butler, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2016 at the Roan Highlands Nursing Center. He was born on May 20, 1933 in Butler to the late Carter and Bessie Richardson Dugger.  In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by sisters:  Lona Campbell and Beulah Campbell and brothers:  Spencer Dugger, Loyd Dugger and Ray Dugger.   Earl was an avid outdoorsmen and especially loved hunting and fishing. He was a logger for many years, a job in which he took much pride in.   Earl was a member of Elk River Baptist Church.   He is survived by his wife, Martha Marlene Dugger; daughters: Heather Hartley and husband Jody, Tammy Velasquez and husband Dario and Pam Moffett and husband Kelvin; sons:  Bradley Dugger and wife Janet, Michael Dugger and wife Brandi and Craig Dugger and wife Heather; thirteen grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and special friends; Bill Miller, Steve Potter, Mike Potter and Ray Evans.   The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Monday, January 11, 2016 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 8:00 p.m. with Mr. Donnie Cable and Mr. Terry Dugger officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at the Whitehead Cemetery, off of Hwy 321, Butler, TN.  Pallbearers will be Rick Campbell, Austin Clawson, Troy Guy, Ray Evans, Dario Velasquez and Mike Potter.  Honorary pallbearers are Steve Potter, Bill Miller, Jesse Cable, Terry Stanton, Cody Hartley, Harry Marlowe, Richard Clawson and Kelvin Moffett. Family, pallbearers and friends are asked to assemble at 12:45 at the cemetery on Tuesday for services.   The family wishes to express their appreciation and gratitude to the staff of Roan Highlands Nursing Home for all their kindness and care.   At other times the family will receive friends at the home of Jesse Cable, 761 Greggs Branch Road, Butler, TN or at the home of Marlene Dugger, 234 Dewey Payne Road, Butler, TN.   The family of Floyd “Earl” Dugger has entrusted his services to Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S. Church Street, Mountain City, TN 37683.
