Blanche Wallace, age 84, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was born in Trade, TN on March 22, 1931 to the late Roby Alfred Wallace and Sarah Rash Wallace.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Earl, Walter, Howard and Hill Wallace, one infant sister Mae Wallace, two infant brothers, Ray and Clay Wallace, her great nephew, Nick Snyder and a special friend of many years, Richard Hawkins.   Blanche began her work career at Dayton Sammons grocery store before going into Factory work. She enjoyed being surrounded by friends, family and with flowers. Blanche really enjoyed going out to eat.   She was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church.   She is survived by three nieces; Earleen Reece, Eva Jean Leonard and Gail McDonald, special cousin, Mark Wallace and wife Judy, special friend and caregiver, Gail Snyder, one sister-in-law, Muriel Wallace, three great nieces, one great nephew, one great great niece, and four great great nephews and many cousins.   The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, 2016 from Mountain City Funeral Home with the Funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. with Steven Spencer to officiate. Graveside service and burial will follow from Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Mark Wallace, Danny Ray Wilson, Nathaniel Wilson, Gary Speedy Leonard, Mick McDonald, Jesse Sexton, Herman Price and Thomas Grindstaff.   The family wishes to express their appreciation and gratitude to the staff of Mountain City Care Center for all of their care and kindness given to Blanche through the years.   The family of Blanche Wallace has entrusted her services to Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S. Church Street, Mountain City, TN 37683.
