William Edward "Ed" Dugger William Edward "Ed" Dugger, age 79, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2016 after his courageous battle with leukemia at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. He was born on August 25, 1936 in Washington, County, Johnson City, TN to the late Barney and Alice Irene Cross Dugger. In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Winebarger and by one brother, Charlie Dugger. Ed was an avid outdoorsman especially loved riding four wheelers with his grandkids and great grandkids, hunting, fishing and growing his garden. He was full of humor, wit and just full of life. The love of Ed's life was his wife Annie and all of his family. He was known for always thinking and doing for others. Ed was a member of Life Christian Fellowship Church. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Annie Bennett Dugger; daughter, Linda Winebarger; sons: Billy Dugger and wife Ellen, David Dugger and wife Janet, Ricky Dugger and wife Norma and William Barney Dugger and fiancé Christine Green ; sisters; Dot Milhorn, Jean Wilson and husband Robert and Mary Ragan and husband Dallas, brother, James Dugger and wife Evelyn, grandchildren; Cassie Ann Davis, Billy Hartness, Gena Hibberts, Danny Dugger, Kristie Cooke, Shelia Forrester, D. J. Winebarger, Anthony Dugger, Devin Dugger, Tiffany Dugger, Brian Henderson, Brooke Perry and Rachel Passino; twenty eight great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Monday, April 4, 2016 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Randy McClure and Mark Church officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Tri-City Memory Gardens Cemetery (Blountville, TN). Pallbearers will be D.J. Winebarger, Jason Cooke, Aaron Barnett, Brandon Scott, Brian Henderson and Justin Cooke. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Daniel Jones, Billy Hartness, and Landon McIntyre, Dr. Charles Famoyian and Dr Sara Harmon of the Quality of Life facility. Family, pallbearers and friends are asked to assemble at 12.45 p.m. at the cemetery on Tuesday for services. The family would like to express their sincere Thanks to the fourth floor nurses at Johnson City Medical Center whom Ed adored.
