Wayne Stewart

Wayne Stewart, age 65, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2016.  He was born on April 13, 1950 to Irawanna Price Stewart and the late Robert Stewart.    Wayne loved music and was an accomplished guitar picker and especially loved to play and sing gospel music.  He also enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman.    Wayne had a very outgoing personality and was always willing to help those in need.  He was a kind and generous man who loved the Lord and his family very much, especially his grandchildren.    Wayne attended Antioch Baptist Church.      In addition to his mother, Irawanna, Wayne is survived by his wife of 34 years, Cris Stewart; daughter, April Calhoun and husband David of Mountain City, TN; sons:  Kelly Stewart and wife Bridgette of Johnson City, TN, Bobby Stewart and wife Cassie of Morganton, NC and Lee Stewart and wife Amber of Mountain City, TN; sisters:  Elaine Graybeal and husband Bob; Mary Winebarger and husband Don, Linda Isaccs and husband Mike, Eva Hash and husband Mark, Peggy Shaw and husband Gary, Lisa Stout and husband Wayne; brother, Darrel Stewart and wife Pat; grandchildren:  Kayla Stewart, Elizabeth Stewart, Austin Stewart, Maddison Stewart, Blake Brown, Madilyn Brown, John David Atwood, Maggie Calhoun, Abby Stewart and Lucas Stewart; several cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.   The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 8, 2016 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Kenny Ray Vaught to officiate. Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Sunset Memorial Park.  Active pallbearers will be Austin Stewart, Ben Price, William Winebarger, Aaron Church, Jordan Isaacs and David Calhoun.  Honorary pallbearers are The Men of Antioch Church.   At other times, the family will receive friends at the home, 3509 Fall Branch Road, Mountain City, TN.   Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mountaincityfh.com.   The family of Wayne Stewart has entrusted his services to Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S.
