Carolyn Potter Baughman

Carolyn Potter Baughman, age 61, of Charlestown, Maryland, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2016. She was born on September 9, 1954 to Selmer and June Osborne Potter.   Carolyn was a wonderful daughter and the best that any parent could hope for. She was also a kind, caring and generous friend to many. She loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed living by the beach. She had several hobbies but two of her favorites were cooking and crocheting.   In addition to her parents, Selmer and June Potter of Mountain City, Tennessee, Carolyn is survived by her fiancé, Albert Van Dyke of Maryland; special Aunt, Jean Gentry; her four legged companion whom she loved dearly, her cat Bucket; several cousins and many close friends.   Funeral Services for Carolyn will be private.   In lieu of flowers, memorials in Carolyn’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.   At other times the family will receive friends at the home of her parents, 118 Clarence Potter Road, Mountain City, TN.   Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mountaincityfh.com.   The family of Carolyn Potter Baughman has entrusted her services to Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S.
