Myrtle Evelyn Henley

Myrtle Evelyn Henley, age 91, of Mountain City, Tennessee, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at her residence. She was born on August 21, 1924 in Decatur, Tennessee to the late William Elbert and Sudie Sneed Brown.  In addition to her parents, Myrtle was preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, Raymond Henley and one sister and several brothers.   Myrtle was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.   Those left to cherish her memories are her sons: R.L. Henley and wife Sharon of Lansing, KS and Alfred Henley and wife Amy of Mountain City, TN; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Rische and husband Mike of Maryville, TN; seven grandchildren:  Crystal Laudermilk and husband Jeff, Rochelle Campbell, Curtis Crosswhite and wife Amanda, Christopher Crosswhite and wife Misty, Leon Henley & wife Wendy, Brian Henley and Adriane Furches; several great grandchildren; special nephew, Reed O’Donnell and several more special nieces and nephews.   Funeral Service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with Minister Daniel Jones and Pastor Bill Morefield officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted at 1:45 p.m. on Monday, May 9, 2016 at the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.   At other times, the family will receive friends at the home, 230 N.
