Larry H. Cozort

Larry H. Cozort, age 75, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born on September 16, 1940 in Oceana, West Virginia to the late Argel A. and Phyllis Brown Cozort.  In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by a son, Tony Cozort and brothers:  Terry A. and Don L. Cozort.   Larry was one of those people that meeting for the first time, you felt like you had known him your entire life. Larry was a very sweet, kind, caring, giving and generous man who was deeply loved by his family and friends.   He loved being outdoors and especially loved golf, football and fishing.   For Charlynn, Larry was the love of her life.   Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 31 years, Charlynn E. Cozort; daughters: Pamela Furr and husband Kevin and Jill Petrey and husband John; step-son, John Lutzeier; sister, Argylee Melvin; brother, Robert H. Cozort and wife Maria; several grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews and a host of friends and neighbors.   It was Larry’s wish to be cremated.   The family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude to the entire Staff at Mountain City Care Center and Rehabilitation Center for their loving care of Larry since 2010.   Condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.mountaincityfh.com The family of Larry H.
