Helen Mildred Morefield, age 68, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was born on July 25, 1947 to Minnie Francis Arnold and the late Rev. George Arnold.  In addition to her father, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, James Daniel Morefield; grandson, Devin Tyler Morefield and sister, Nancy Brewer.   Helen was the matriarch of her family and loved her family very much. She was always there for each of them, no matter the situation and always had a shoulder to lean on or a helping hand to offer.  She could make anyone’s day brighter with her beautiful smile.  Helen was always working, cooking and cleaning and kept her house spotless.   She was a member of Rock Springs Church of Christ.   Helen is survived by her mother, Minnie Arnold; children: M.J. Bragg, Tammy Dunn, Ricky Morefield and wife Crystal, James Morefield and wife Melissa and Tommy Morefield; sisters:  Julie Mae Roark, Ethel Potter, Brenda Reece and husband Barry and Melissa Rupard and husband Jeff; brothers:  Gene Arnold and wife Vicki, Jim Arnold and wife Connie and Leonard Arnold and wife Lisa; grandchildren:  Amanda Hyatt, Miranda Hayworth, Chris Morefield, Mikaela Morefield, Cody McKinney, Logan Morefield, Cory Morefield, Danielle Morefield, Amber Morefield and Mason Bragg; great grandchildren:  Alexis Leathern, James Leathern, Shaunta Leathern, Trenton Taylor, Madison Park, Matthew Holman and Kayden Proffitt; favorite former daughter-in-law, Tina Dunn and favorite former son-in-law, Wiley Dunn; several nieces and nephews; her special dog, Popeye and many more special family members and friends.   The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. with Minister Clarence Cannon to officiate. Graveside Service and Interment will follow at the Townsend-Morefield Family Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Donald Brewer, Wiley Dunn, Dwayne Potter, Tony Potter, Jimmy Bragg and Barry Reece.  Honorary pallbearers are Joshua Reber, Cliff Osborne, Greg Hayworth, Larry Hyatt and grandsons.   At other times the family will receive friends at the home, 714 Huggins Road, Mountain City, TN.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain City Funeral Home to assist in final expenses.   Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mountaincityfh.com.   The family of Helen Mildred Morefield has entrusted her services to Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S.
