Laura Greene

Laura B. Greene, age 39, of Butler, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. She was born in Mesquite, Texas on May 14, 1977 to Patricia Upchurch Wilson and the late James Wilson.    Laura loved being outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing and flowers. She was very level headed and intelligent.  Laura had a heart of gold and was always there with a helping hand or shoulder to lean on.  She had a very kind way about her and gave the best hugs.  She also had a special love for animals, especially her dogs and cats.   She was a member of Sugar Grove Baptist Church.   Those left to cherish Laura’s memories include her loving husband of 19 years, Timothy Greene; her mother, Pat Wilson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arthur and Daphne Greene; sisters and brothers-in-law: Karen and Charlie Widener and Stephanie and Shane O’Quinn; special aunt and uncle, Lois and Kenny Greene; several cousins and her four-legged companion, Peanut, her miniature dachshund.   A Memorial Service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ray Greene officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Honorary pallbearers are Shane O’Quinn, Charlie Widener, Craig Tester, Billy McGuire, Doyle Tester, Brian Holloway and David Rich.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Johnson County Humane Society, PO Box 307, Mountain City, TN 37683.   At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of Arthur and Daphne Greene, 1684 Draft Road, Butler, TN   Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mountaincityfh.com.   The family of Laura B.
