Felcia Ward

Felcia M. Ward, age 87, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at the Johnson City Medical Center, in Johnson City, Tennessee. She was born in Johnson County, Tennessee on May 20, 1929 to the late Charlie and Ella Bolden Shores.  In addition to her parents, Felcia was preceded in death by her husband Arles Earl Ward and several sisters and brothers.    Felcia loved her family very much, but loved the Lord first and foremost. She loved the springtime and summertime and the flowers that come with the warmer weather.  She also enjoyed teddy bears.   She was a proud member of Southside Freewill Baptist Church.   Those left to cherish her memories include her daughters and sons-in-law: Linda and Scott Johnson and Phyllis and Richard Hammons; sisters: Dora Walker and Hassie Mitchell; grandchildren:  Lisa J. Crowder and husband Jeff, Wendy Wilson and husband Andy and Barry Hammons and wife Brittney; great grandchildren:  Braeden Wilson, Braylee and Braven Hammons; special family friend, Brenda Eggers; her church family at Southside; special nurses at JCMC, Kelcey, Jenny and Jon; several cousins, nieces and nephews and many special friends.     The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastors Gary Hill and Ricky Campbell officiating. Special music will be provided by; Granddaughter, Lisa Crowder and Mrs. Jamie McNutt. Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at the Reece Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Barry Hammons, Jeff Crowder, Andy Wilson, Tommy Brewer, Lynn Courtner and David Lewis.  Honorary pallbearers are John Thomson, Louis West, Jim Ward and Phillip Paul Gentry.   Memorials may be made to the East TN Lions Eye Bank, 1924 Alcoa Hwy, Box U-26, Knoxville, TN 37920.   At other times, the family will receive friends at 3351 Cold Springs Road, Mountain City, TN.   Condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.mountaincityfh.com   The family of Felcia M.
