Lou Cox

Lou Cox     Lou Cox, age 81, of Trade, TN went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at The Cranberry House of Newland, NC. She was born October 17, 1934, in Lake City, TN to the late Millard Horace Goins and Hila B. Nelson Goins.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billie B. Cox, a daughter, Susan Denise Pate, a sister, Maxine, and by two brothers, Paul Goins and M.H. Goins.   Lou loved to travel and enjoyed shopping. The greatest love of her life was her family, especially her grandchildren.  She was also a lover of animals and enjoyed the companionship of several pets over the years.  Lou was a member of Clinch River Baptist Church.   Those left behind to cherish her memory include a daughter, Teresa Cox Mullis and husband Steve, of Trade, TN; a brother, Loyal Goins and wife Gerry, son-in-law, Mark Pate, and grandchildren Hannah Bates, Lottie Pate, J.C. Pate, Jennifer Mullis, and Ashton Mullis. She is also survived by several cousins and many good friends.   Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 18, 2016 from the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Lynn Sasser officiating. The graveside service and interment will follow from Reece Memorial Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be family and friends.  Honorary pallbearer will be Loyal Goins.                   The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM prior to the funeral service.   At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of Steve and Teresa Mullis, 582 Fern Hill Drive, Trade, TN 37691.  Condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.mountaincityfh.com   The family of Lou Cox has entrusted her services to Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S.
