Donna Mahala

    Donna Mahala, age 53, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016 following a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born on July 26, 1962 to JD and Mable Woodard Price.    Donna was a faithful servant of the Lord, always putting the Lord first, then family, then work. She was a member of Laurel Springs Community Church.   Donna was an employee of The Town of Mountain City and worked in the City Hall Office.   Those left to cherish Donna’s memories include her loving husband, Jack Mahala; her children: Samantha Reece and husband Skylar and Ryan Mahala; parents, JD and Mable Price; mother-in-law, Sarah Mahala; sisters:  Nancy Nichols and husband Mike; brother, Jack Price; brothers-in-law:  Jeff Mahala and Joey Mahala; niece, Joni Banks and husband Jeff ; nephews:  Michael Nichols and Cody Mahala; great nieces:  Breanna Banks, Maranda Banks and Chloe Nichols; great nephew, Dylan Nichols; uncle, Edward 'Woodey' Woodard and many, many special friends.   The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Spencer Roark and Pastor Danny Farmer officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will follow at the Mahala Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Ryan Mahala, Jeff Banks, Andy Woods, Jonathan Eldreth, Michael Nichols, Dylan Nichols, Jeff Mahala, and Joseph Oliver.  Honorary pallbearers are Skylar Reece and Bill Taylor.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.   At other times, the family will receive friends at the home, 1819 Hubert Taylor Road, Mountain City, TN 37683.   Condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.mountaincityfh.com .
