Lynda M. Greene

Lynda Mae Greene, age 73, of Trade, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. She was born on February 3, 1943 to Willie Reece Proffitt and the late Bruce Reece.  In addition to her father, Lynda was preceded in death by her brothers:  Wayne Reece, Sherry Reece, Norman Reece and David Reece.   Lynda was a devout Christian and member of The Body of Christ. She taught Sunday School for many years.  Lynda loved children and especially loved teaching them God’s word.   Lynda was determined to provide for her family and was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother.   In addition to her mother, Willie Proffitt, Lynda is survived by her husband of 47 years, Avery Max Greene; daughter, Charlene Norris; sons: Jeff McFadden, ‘Tim’ Greene and Jimmy Greene; sisters:  Audrey Thomas, Hope Neatherly, Jane Barnett and Tammy Lipford; brother, Joe Reece; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; several cousins, nieces and nephews.   A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with Mr. John Triplett officiating.
