Larry English

Larry M. English, age 74, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at the Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was born on April 16, 1942 to Melba Mullins English and the late Melvin English. In addition to his father, Larry was preceded in death by a brother, Sam English and step-mother, Garnetta English.   Larry was the Maintenance Manager at Levi Strauss until their closure in 1999. Following the closure of Levi, Larry opened his own business, English Sharpening Service.   Larry had many hobbies, but one of his favorites was fishing. He loved watching Shepherds Chapel with Pastor Murray and enjoyed sharing Shepherds Chapel.   He was a very loving husband, father and grandfather and was very proud of the fact that he was a Great Grandfather.   In addition to his mother, Melba, Larry is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Yvonne ‘Bonnie’ English; daughters: Deena Glauberg and husband Mike and Laura English; sons: Kevin English and wife Michelle and Jeff English; sisters: Melva Jo English, Brenda Hill and husband Dave and Janis Reddick; sister-in-law, Debbie English; grandchildren: Aaron English, Amber English, Deanna English, Tash English, Carissa Cook, Jeff English Jr., Kevin Todd, Hayden Glauberg and Christian English; great grandchild, Mercedes Cook; a very special cousin, Barbie Alfaisol; several cousin, nieces and nephews and his two special cats: Gray Baby and Patch.   Funeral Service for Larry will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ron Drake officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will follow at the Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Kevin English, Aaron English, Mike Glauberg, Hayden Glauberg, Barry Dunn, Jimmy Fuller, Melinda Reese and Moe Marshall. Honorary pallbearers are Jeff English, Jeff English Jr., Christian English. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.   At other times, the family will receive friends at the home, 2135 Hwy 421 N, Mountain City, TN.   Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mountaincityfh.com.   The family of Larry M.
