Daniel Grindstaff

Daniel Shell Grindstaff, age 80, of Butler, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2016. He was born on September 6, 1935 to the late Glen Cecil Grindstaff and Ella Mae Stout Grindstaff.  In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lou Robinson.    Daniel was an avid outdoorsman who loved gardening, hunting and fishing. His face lit up when he smiled.  He was a wonderful husband, daddy and friend .   He was a carpenter by trade and took great pride in his work. Daniel was a member of Sharon Baptist Church of Green Bay, Virginia.   Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 60 years, Viola G. Grindstaff; daughter and loving son-in-law, Shelly G. and Karl M. Chakford; many loving nieces and nephews and many special friends.   A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2016 at the Trinity Memorial Gardens of Rice, Virginia.   Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mountaincityfh.com.   The family of Daniel Shell Grindstaff has entrusted his services to Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S.
