  Randy Glenn Hutchinson, age 57, of Bristol, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016 following a courageous battle with cancer.  He was born on September 30, 1958 to Jane Hutchinson and the late Robert Glenn Hutchinson.  In addition to his father, Randy was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Hutchinson, who passed on Feb. 8, 2014 and a niece, Jessica Blevins.   Randy loved to be around people and found his calling as Activities Director at a local nursing home.  He took great pride in his work and went above and beyond for all of his patients by making each day for them a little more enjoyable and a little brighter.  Randy’s hard work was recognized in 2011 and he was named Tennessee Activities Director of the Year.  He had also served two years as Activities President for the Tennessee Health Care Association.  Randy had a contagious smile and laugh.  He also considered himself somewhat of a comedian.  He was always happy and wanted others to be happy.  Randy loved life and always lived life to the fullest every day.  He was very kind-hearted and truly cared about his family, friends and community.  Randy was an avid UT, Vols and anything Tennessee fan.  He was a member of Harmon Chapel Christian Church.   Those left to cherish Randy’s memory include his partner of 13 years, Tracy West; Tracy’s parents, Carl and Shirley West; his mother, Jane Hutchinson; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Richard Blevins; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Sandra Hutchinson, his Walgreen family and many more special friends.  Funeral Service for Randy will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at the Harmon Chapel Christian Church of Shady Valley, TN with Mr. Steven Long and Mr. Lynn Smith officiating.  Special music will be provided by Narrow Road and Courtney Martinez. Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2016 at the Blevins Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest beside of his sister, Carol, with Pastor Howard Taylor officiating.  Pallbearers will be Larry Lane, Johnny Hutchinson, Huey Long, Mike Averill, Terry Hutchinson and Brian Hutchinson.  Honorary pallbearers are Cliff Davis, Wayne Duncan, Lowell Hutchinson, Carl West, Kevin Long, John Cornett and Tom Hutchinson. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. prior to the service.  Flowers are appreciated or memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society, c/o Sassy Sisters for a Cure/Donna Davis, 4104 Thorngate Drive, Williamsburg, VA 23188.  Sassy Sisters for a Cure is a group of individuals who raise awareness and funds for the American Cancer Society. Please make checks payable to American Cancer Society.  The family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude to Crandull Church of Christ, Dr. John Green and Staff, Wellmont Home Health and Hospice, especially his nurse Freyda and Walgreen’s of Volunteer Parkway/Bristol for all of their loving care and kindness during Randy’s fight.  At other times the family will receive friends at the home of his mother, Jane Hutchinson, 162 Brickyard Branch Road, Shady Valley, TN.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mountaincityfh.com.  The family of Randy Glenn Hutchinson has entrusted his services to Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S.
