Mary Widener Tester

   Mary Widener Tester, age 76, of Piney Flats, TN passed away on Friday July 22, 2016 at her home. She was born on May 16, 1940 in Johnson County, TN to the late Dewey Widener and Virginia Isaacs Widener. In addition to her parents Mary was preceded in death by her sister Wanda Widener Boetker and her brother, Carl Widener. Mary was a graduate of Johnson County High School. She attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church while living in Mountain City.     Mary is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ivan Tester, daughters, Audrey Weingarten of Frazier Park, CA and Margie Barker of Piney Flats, TN; son, Jeff Tester of Mountain City, TN; brothers, Bob Widener of Augusta, GA and Jim Widener of Mountain City, TN; grandchildren, Aspen and Josh Weingarten, Shelby and Abby Barker, Blaine Buchanan, Jeffrey and Hunter Tester, two great granddaughters, Willow and Breiah, one great grandson, Lukas, sister-in-law, Eva Tester Carter, brother-in-law, Frank Tester, several nieces, nephews and cousins.   The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Mountain City Funeral Home with memorial service to follow at 7:00 p.m., with Rev. Jim Norman to officiate.
