Richard B. Shoun, 76, of Peach Bottom, PA passed away on August 13, 2016. Born in Mountain City, TN, Richard had lived in Pennsylvania most of his life. He was the husband of Judy A. (Caudill) Shoun with whom he shared 51 years of marriage. He was the son of the late Joseph C. Shoun and Opal L. (Mullins) Shoun of Peach Bottom. Richard attended Oxford area schools. He worked on the family farm and later worked as a diesel mechanic at the former Herr’s Motor Express in Quarryville for 18 years prior to retiring due to illness. He enjoyed antique cars and Nascar and was an avid bowler. He was a member of Porters Grove Baptist Church in Conowingo, MD. He was a member of Washington Lodge No. 156, F & AM of Quarryville, PA and was a 32nd degree Mason. He was also a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite in Valley of Harrisburg, PA and Lancaster, PA, Lancaster County Shrine, Shriners International, and Zembo Temple in Harrisburg. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister, Violet M. McKinney and husband Royce of Peach Bottom; Brother-in-law, Samuel Caudill and wife Susan of Midland, NC; Nephews, James McKinney, Lonnie McKinney, Raymond McKinney, and Jacob Caudill; a special great-nephew, Jeramy McKinney and wife, Sarah; and several great nieces and nephews and many cousins. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 16 from 6-8 pm followed by a masonic service at 7 pm at the Edward L. Collins, Jr. Funeral Home Inc., 86 Pine St., Oxford. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, Aug. 20 at the Mountain City Funeral Home, Mountain City, TN, where friends and family may visit from 1-2 p.m. prior to the funeral. Graveside services and interment will follow at Phillippi Cemetery, Mountain City, TN. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Shriners Hospitals for children, Office of Development, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607 or to a charity of your choice.
