Lucille Wilson Miller, age 83, of Emory Greer Road, Zionville, passed away Saturday morning, August 20, 2016, at her home.Mrs. Miller was born September 25, 1932 in Johnson County, Tennessee, a daughter of the late James Hamilton Wilson and Betty Snyder Wilson.She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Miller was a homemaker and a charter member of the Zionville Volunteer Fire Department, serving over 22 years as a first responder. She was a faithful member of Zionville Baptist Church. Mrs. Miller loved her church family and loved serving others. She was an avid gardener and was well known for her flowers. She enjoyed feeding the birds, especially the Hummingbirds. Most importantly she loved her family and they loved her immensely. She was their biggest source of support, love, and strength, and will be dearly missed.Mrs. Miller is survived by one daughter, Debbie Potter and husband J.V. of Zionville; two sons, David Miller and wife Terri, and Donald Miller and wife Amy, all of Zionville; six granddaughters, Cindy Isaacs and husband Frankie, Jennifer Miller, Becky Zaragoza and husband Jay, Leslie Tankersley and husband Todd, Christy Miller, and Victoria Lucille Potter, all of Zionville; one grandson, Michael Earl Miller and wife Christy of Zionville; three great-granddaughters, Cheyenna Isaacs, Ava Zaragoza, and Haven Elizabeth Miller, all of Zionville; five great-grandsons, Caleb Isaacs, Dillion Zaragoza, Logan Zaragoza, Nathaniel Miller, Titus Noah Tankersley, all of Zionville, and her special caregivers, Kay Johnson, Diane Phipps, and Justus Saunders. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl E. Miller; five sisters and five brothers.Funeral services for Lucille Wilson Miller will be conducted Tuesday afternoon, August 23, 2016, at 2:00 o'clock, at Zionville Baptist Church. The body will lie in state, at the church, from 1:00 until 2:00 o'clock. Officiating will be Reverend Dwayne Tester and Pastor Doug Cheshier. Entombment will follow in the Zionville Baptist Church Garden Mausoleum.The family will receive friends Monday evening, from 6:00 until 8:30 pm, at Hampton Funeral Service.Flowers are appreciated, or memorial contributions may be made to the Zionville Baptist Church Garden Mausoleum Fund, in care of Ollie Phipps, 800 Modock Road, Trade, Tennessee, 37691.Online condolences may be sent to the Miller family at www.hamptonfuneralnc.com.Hampton Funeral and Cremation Service is in charge of the arrangements.
