Laura (Punky) Mink, age 62, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2016. She was born on March 28, 1954 to the late Lawrence and Hazel Runyon Webb. In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by sisters: Eloise McNeely and Ova McNeely; brothers-in-laws: Leo McNeely, Butch McNeely and Cecil Williams. Laura was a faithful servant of the Lord. She was a former member of Locust Gap Freewill Baptist Church and had currently attended First Freewill Baptist Church. She loved being outdoors and especially enjoyed going camping and spending time with her family. She also loved to cook. Laura worked in the grocery business for many years. Laura had two very special young men in her life whom she loved dearly, her grandsons, Brock and Trey Dalton, who also loved her very much in return. She also held a special place in her heart for her cat, Junior. Those left to cherish Laura's memories include her husband of 14 years, Jon Mink; daughter, Michele Dalton; sons: Greg Davidson and Michael Davidson; sisters: Mary Williams, Loretta and husband Bobby Frazier and Eleanor and husband Donnie Duty; grandsons: Brock and Trey Dalton; father-In-law and mother-in-law, Larry and Carol Mink; sisters-in-law: Renee and husband Scotty Eller, Tina and husband Danny Miller and Charlene and husband Mike McCarty; many special friends and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at the Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 8:00 p.m. with Pastors Ted Lewis, Shannon Courtner and Greg Poe officiating. Special music will be provided by Shannon Courtner. Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 1, 2016 at the Locust Gap Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Keith Gwinn, Jeff Hess, Dale Hope, Brock Dalton, Trey Dalton and Will Lawson. Honorary pallbearers will be brothers-in-laws and nephews on both sides. Memorial contributions may be made to the Locust Gap Freewill Baptist Church, c/o , Mountain City, TN 37683 or the American Heart Association, 3101 Browns Mill Rd #6, Johnson City, TN 37604.
