Billy Jack Maine

Billy Jack Maine, age 40, of Damascus, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 13, 2016.  He was born on April 6, 1976 to the late Lacy Elmer Miller and Idella Mae Gentry Main.  In addition to his parents, Billy Jack was preceded in death by a sister, Tammy Wallace; niece, Heather Blevins and nephews:  Robert Anthony Miller and Chris Blevins.   First and foremost, Billy Jack was a Christian, who loved his Lord and Savior.  Though he never had any children of his own, he always had children around him who referred to him as ‘Uncle Billy Jack.’  He enjoyed driving the church bus and was so proud of all the kids at church.  Billy Jack truly loved people and his family.  He was always happy and smiling.   Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 18 years, Melissa Maine; step-mom, Joyce Hamm; sisters:  Cindy Price and Neatse Blevins; brother, David Wayne Miller; nieces:  Amanda May, Pamela Jones, Diane Wallace, Teddy Wallace, Patrick Wallace, Destiny Blevins and Lillith Holt; nephews;  Michael Miller, David Wayne Miller Jr., Robbie Miller and Leon Wallace; several great nieces and great nephews; his special four-legged friends, Shyanne and JoJo, his parrots, Nattie Mae and Moses Earl; and many special friends.   The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. with Preacher Michael Miller and Rev. David Lyalls officiating.  Special music will be provided by Haylee May. Graveside Service and interment will follow at the Shepherd Perry Cemetery, located on Tucker road, Lansing, NC.  Pallbearers are David Miller, Kenny Henderson, Ben Miller, David Miller Jr., Cody Medley, Benji Neece, John Steurwald, Adam Huffman.  Honorary pallbearers are Ralph Blevins and Sam Blevins.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.   At other times, the family will receive friends at the home, 22392 Alvarado Road, Damascus, VA 24236.   Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mountaincityfh.com.   The family of Billy Jack Maine has entrusted his services to Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S. Church Street, Mountain City, TN 37683.
