Gloria Jean Gilbert

Gloria Jean Gilbert, age 62, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital.  She was born on August 16, 1954 in Orlando, Florida to the late Elmer Melvin Lane and Connie Joan Rinehart Lane.  In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her sisters: Robin Smith, Deborah Zino, Melody Lane and Tami Eisenhower. Gloria was a loving and caring wife and mother.  She loved spending time with her family. Those left to cherish her memories include her husband of 23 years, Leonard Gilbert; daughters and sons-in-law:  Christine Ann Fiorica-Lewis and husband Khari of Casselberry, FL and Lindsey Michelle Stines and husband Brad of Butler, TN; step daughter:  Angie Gilbert and Mindy Pearson; step son, Michael Gilbert and wife Megan; brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Bobbie Lane; grandchildren:  Kyle Blake Thomas, Katelyn Brooke Thomas, Khloe Brooke Stines and Konner Bradley Stines; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leonard Sr. and Barbara Gilbert; nieces and nephews:  Heather Anderson, Stacey Blair, Erik Eisenhower and Kenneth Lane; uncle, Robert Lane and wife Sandy of Osteen, FL; special friends:  Roger and Wanda Gentry. The family will receive friends from 12-2:00 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2017 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Minister Dwayne Dickson to officiate. Graveside service and interment will follow the funeral at the Sunset Memorial Park.  Pallbearers will be Erik Eisenhower, Kenneth Lane, Brad Stines, Khari Lewis, Kyle Thomas, and Austin Blair. Honorary pallbearers are Leonard Gilbert and Ken Lane.  At other times, the family will receive friends at the home, 1423 Divide Road, Mountain City, TN.
