Elizabeth Greene

  Elizabeth McCarty Greene   Elizabeth McCarty Greene, age 41, of Shady Valley, TN went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at her home. She was born December 23, 1975 to Garry McCarty and Gail Forrester Ryan.  She was a member of Surburban Christian Church in Bristol, VA.   Elizabeth was a person who loved her family and friends. She had a unique sense of humor that everyone loved.  She was a very talented person who created fantastic artwork patterns with needlepoint and cross stich.  She loved all animals but especially loved her cats and dogs.  She had a special love for her dog Zack and her cat Sassy, who was her baby.   Those left to cherish her memory include her mother Gail Ryan, her father Garry McCarty, a half-brother Alex McCarty, several cousins and many friends.   The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The visitation will be followed by a graveside service conducted by Pastor Brian Waters at 2:30 PM from Shady Valley Memorial Gardens in Shady Valley, TN.  Pallbearers will be family and friends.  Ferinda Steely will serve as an honorary pallbearer.   Following the graveside service, family and friends are invited to a reception in Elizabeth’s memory at the home of Danny and Nancy Waters, 528 Clifton St, Damascus, VA.   In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorials be made to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.   At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of her mother, Gail Ryan, at 1295 Sluder Road, Shady Valley, Tennessee 37688.   Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mountaincityfh.com.
