Adam Campbell

Adam Campbell, age 40, of Mountain City, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Johnson County Community Hospital.  He was born on December 24, 1976 to Bennie and Shirley Taylor Campbell.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Fred and Virgie Taylor; paternal grandparents: Sam and Nelle Campbell; uncles:  Carl Taylor, Earl Taylor and Jim Campbell and nephew, Cameron Bennett Crowder. Adam was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.  He was a true servant of God and was always helping his fellow man and others in need.  He loved working with the kids at church and served in AWANA. He enjoyed being outdoors and was most happy when he was on his tractor or backhoe.  Adam loved his family and friends very much and will be deeply, deeply missed.  A lot of people knew Adam from Auto Zone, where he worked as Commercial Manager. Those left to cherish his memories include his wife, Nikki Campbell and daughter Natalyi; parents, Bennie and Shirley Campbell; uncle, Wayne Taylor; aunts:  Carolyn Norris, Jean Eldreth and Ann Pennington Taylor; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Kathy Crowder and Chuck Crowder; sister-in-law, Kim Flahart; brother-in-law, Charles Crowder and wife Sonya; nieces:  Caitlin, Serena, Maleia, Myleigh, Gabbi and Sutton and many special cousins and friends. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at the Calvary Baptist Church.  Funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastors Steven Spencer and Tyler Fenner officiating.  Graveside service and interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 10, 2017 at the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Jason Campbell, Jack Proffitt, Tom Kerley, Morris Woodring, Willie DeBord and Tom Reece.  Honorary pallbearers are Brian Taylor, Ralph Eastridge, Cole Spencer, Weston Robinson, Warren Kerley, Will Kerley, Jeff Norris, Ricky Campbell, Mark Leonard, Cliff Storie, Kyman Matherly,  and Blake Robinson, Calvary Baptist Church Men’s Sunday School Class and Auto Zone Employees and Commercial Clients. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials in Adam’s name be made to the Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund, 1354 Cold Springs Road, Mountain City, TN 37683.
