Lee'Frank' Courtney

Lee ‘Frank’ Courtney, age 83, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at the Mountain City Care & Rehabilitation Center.  He was born on November 12, 1934 to the late Christopher and Clara Cain Courtney.  In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his brothers:  Ronnie Courtney, Ray Courtney and Charles Courtney.  Frank loved being outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was a huge Braves Fan and also enjoyed reading. Frank retired from truck driving and had served in the Army National Guard. Those left to cherish his memories include his wife, Jeanne Ayling Courtney; Daughters:  Deborah and Sheryl Lynn and son, Lee Jr.; sister, Dorothy Frances Cash; cousin Nina Henderson; several nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dwayne Dickson officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. At other times the family will receive friends at the home, 227 Pine Street, Mountain City, TN 37683.
