Ellen South

Virginia “Ellen” Caudill South         Ellen Caudill South age 68, of Mountain City, TN went home to be with her Lord on Thursday December 14, 2017 at the Mountain City Care Center. She was born February 10, 1949 in Boone, NC to the late Quentin Caudill and Lavaughn Critcher Caudill. In addition to her parents Ellen was preceded in death by two infant sisters and by one brother, James “Buzz” Caudill.   She loved working puzzles, crafting, and fishing. Ellen was a member at Calvary Baptist Church.   She is survived by her husband of 50 years Kenny South, one daughter, Julia Morgan and husband Christopher of Norfolk, VA; sisters: Pat Walls of Vilas, NC and Mary Jo Dotson of Boone, NC; one brother Quentin Caudill of Creston, NC; Several nieces and nephews and grandchildren.   Funeral service for Ellen will be held on Monday December 18, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Steven Spencer to officiate. The family will receive friends from  6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Graveside will be Tuesday December 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from the Reece Memorial Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are  Calvary Baptist Men’s Sunday School  Class.          Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church Awana, 1354 Cold Springs Rd, Mountain City, TN, 37683   At other times the family will receive friends at the home, 801 N.
