Betty Jean Norris Greene

Betty Jean Norris Greene, age 71, of Old US Highway 421, Zionville, passed away Wednesday morning, January 31, 2018 at Glenbridge Health and Rehabilitation in Boone. Born March 12, 1946 in Watauga County, she was a daughter of James Earl and Betty Ruth Hodges Norris.  Betty Jean loved her family and adored her grandchildren. Her favorite pass-time was tending to her flowers and working with her yard shrubbery.  Ms. Greene is survived by her former husband and caregiver, Gale Greene; daughters, Angela Brown and husband, Greg, of Mountain City and Anita Greene and husband, William, of Zionville; brother, Baxter Norris and wife, Keeta, of Zionville; four grandchildren, Aaron Green and wife, Jennifer, of Trade, Jakob Greene of Zionville, Savannah Gentry and husband, Chip, and Kenneth Brown, all of Mountain City; and two great-grandchildren, Blake Greene of Trade and Kynlee Gentry of Mountain City.
