John Wagner

John Wagner, age 89, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018.  He was born on November 21, 1928 to the late George and Lula Stout Wagner.  In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Wills and a brother, Jim Wagner. He was a member of Roan Creek Baptist Church. Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 63 years, Rebecca Wagner; son, Jeff Wagner and wife Diana of Mountain City, TN; sister, Irene Trivett of Elizabethton, TN; grandchildren:  Lori Harr and husband Lee of Elizabethton, TN; special great grandchildren:  Levi and Logan Harr; sisters-in-laws:  Barbara Wilson and Ollie Phipps; nephew, Robert Wagner; special friends:  Pete Osborne and Morris Davis; several cousins and many special friends. Graveside service and interment will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the Sunset Memorial Park.  Pallbearers will be Robert Wagner, Danny Pardue, Randy Pardue, Hal Wagner, Skip Wills, Ted Trivett, Scott Winebarger and Pete Osborne.  Honorary pallbearers are Freddy Phipps, Jimmy Phipps, Wayne Wilson, Eric West, Mike Duffield and Darrell Reece. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in John’s memory to the charity of your choice.
