Kitty V. Wright

  Kitty Virginia Wright, age 76, of Granite Falls, North Carolina, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018 at the Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care of Hudson, NC. She was born on October 9, 1941 in Mountain City, Tennessee to the late Ellis Scott Huggins and Charlotte Morefield Huggins.  In addition to her parents, Kitty was preceded in death by her husband Loyd Webster Wright; sister, Sylvia Hollar; brother, Charles Huggins.   Kitty lived in Michigan for 35 years and moved back to North Carolina in 1988. She worked for Mitzi for many years and was Nanny to Mitzi’s children, Ben and Meredith.    Those left to cherish her memories include her sons: Ralph Wright and wife  Beverly of Newton, NC and Jim Wright of Granite Falls, NC; sister, Carolyn Burns and husband Larry of Granite Falls, NC; grandchildren:  Emily Wright and Heather Wright; great grandchildren:  Colton and James Wright and several nieces, nephews and cousins.   The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 18, 2018 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service and burial will follow at the Shady Valley Memorial Gardens in Shady Valley, Tennessee.  Family friends will serve as pallbearers.   Condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.mountaincityfh.com.
