Thelma J. Blankenship

  Thelma J. Blankenship   Thelma J. Blankenship, age 72 of Butler TN, passed away on Saturday October 13, 2018 at the Mountain City Care Center. She was born July 13, 1946 to the late Glenn and Polly Dugger.  In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Blankenship, Sisters; Carolyn Miller, Sarah Myatt, Laura Bunton, and Patricia Vines; brother, Clayton Dugger.    Thelma Enjoyed having pictures of her Grandchildren which she truly cherished. She spent a lot of her time hooking rugs, working in her garden, and she especially liked having her coffee.   Thelma was a member of Flat Springs Baptist Church.   Those left to cherish her memories include her children; Amy Jones, Janie Brewer and husband James; sisters, Sue Bunting and Glenda Greene; brother, Herb Arnold; grandchildren, April Presnelle, Jo Furches, Charlie Mann, Dustin Jones and Dakota Jones; great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Cassidy, Christian, Johnathon, Hayley, Chole, Shylon, Timothy, Blake, Dominick and Little Paul; very special grandchildren Dakota Jones & Elizabeth Furches: several cousins, nieces and nephews.   The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Roy Wilson officiating.  Graveside service and interment will follow at Dugger Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be James Brewer, David Dugger, Charlie Mann, Dakota Jones, Doug Arney, and Doug Myatt.   At other times the family will receive friends at the home, 604 R.D.
